Computer 2000, the UK arm of Tech Data, is going out on the road to get closer to its SMB customers

11.05.2011

Computer 2000, the UK arm of Tech Data, is going out on the road to get closer to its SMB customers and give them the opportunity to learn more about the wide range of services that the company can offer them in person. The company is taking its Connection Roadshow to 20 venues right across the UK over the next 12 months.

The events will be principally aimed at Computer 2000’s 7,000 unmanaged accounts – resellers who do business with the company but fall below the threshold at which they will be allocated to a named account manager. The company will be sending invitations to resellers in each area as the roadshow dates are announced.  All resellers will be invited to attend at least one of the venues and Computer 2000 expects to attract at least 100 delegates each event.

The Computer2000 Connection Roadshows will be full-day events. They will open with a series of core presentations from Computer 2000 and key vendors, followed by break-out sessions and workshops that will enable customers to find out about the different aspects of the company’s products and services in more depth. An exhibition area will provide a forum in which resellers can see the very latest products and network with personnel from Computer 2000 and its vendor partners.

The company is holding the first three Connection Roadshows in June and July, at venues in North London, Birmingham and Bournemouth. Over the next 12 months, the roadshow will visit all corners of the British Isles, including Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.
