Tech Data Mobile ships new ARCHOS mobile devices to UK resellers and retailers


Challenger brand appeals to buyers looking for fully-featured phones that deliver great value

Basingstoke, 26 January 2016 - Tech Data Mobile has announced the immediate availability of the new range of dual-SIM feature phone and Android smartphone devices from ARCHOS.

The first ARCHOS devices to be made available by Tech Data Mobile are the new ARCHOS 55 Platinum and ARCHOS F24 Power. With powerful feature sets and attractive designs, these devices are really appealing options for consumers or B2B customers looking for great-looking mobile phones that are powerful, versatile and affordable.

While ARCHOS has a strong brand position in Europe, in both the smartphone and tablet segments, ARCHOS has been less visible to date in the UK, even though many of its products have been available under different brands due to their extensive hardware licensing agreements.

Two of the new ARCHOS mobile devices now available from Tech Data Mobile include the ARCHOS 55 Platinum and ARCHOS F24 Power, with additional mobile and tablet devices and options due to be announced in the coming months.

The ARCHOS 55 Platinum dual-SIM, which will retail under £100, has a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, quad core processor, 1GB of RAM and latest 5.1 Lollipop making it perfect for navigation, videos, games or apps. It can take amazing pictures thanks to the 13MP camera with autofocus plus LED flash and it also has 2MP front camera. The charging slot is at the bottom, middle of the device making it easier to charge the device in a holder. The 55 Platinum has 8GB of internal storage, expandable via a Micro SD slot.

The ARCHOS F24 Power dual-SIM, which will retail under £30, is a talk and text phone powered by a 4000 mAh battery, which means users can enjoy 55 days standby and over 40 hours of talk time. It can also be used as an emergency charger via USB to Mini USB (included in box) for other devices. It has a 2.4-inch colour screen, 2MP rear camera, Bluetooth, powerful dual LED light, a clock, alarm clock with ringtones, calendar, calculator and stopwatch. It can also be used as a MP3 player or FM radio and additional storage can be added using the Micro SD slot.

Tech Data Mobile offers a wide range of smartphones from leading vendors such as Samsung and Motorola.
